Another Easy "Home For Christmas" DSP Card

I still have some scraps of "Home For Christmas" DSP from classes and other cards made, so I want to use them up. I have enough to make a few more cards which you will see from time to time till Christmas.

I really love the "Versatile Christmas" stamp set, and sets like this, that have some larger sentiments, are great to use along with DSP cards.

The added gold sparkle of the Gold Cord Trim and Gold Glimmer Paper, are such a nice pop of Christmas glitter for this card.

You can see the layering in the next photo.

...and as you will see below, for the sentiment, I decided to stamp it in the bottom right corner which often is blank after writing in the card, and it won't interfere in the middle of your writing.

If you wish to have a mass producing kind of card this one is a great one for that.

Here are the measurements -
Outside
Mossy Meadow Base - 4 1/4" x 11" (Score at 5 1/2")
Very Vanilla - 5 1/4" w x 4" h
DSP - 5" w x 3 3/4"h
Very Vanilla - 4 3/8" w x 3 1/8" h
DSP - 4 1/4"w x 3" h
Real Red - 3 5/8" w x 1 3/8"h
Gold Glimmer - 3 5/8" w x 1/2" h
Inside
DSP - 5 1/4" w x 4" h
Very Vanilla - 5" w x 3 3/4"h

Just cut all the pieces, form assembly piles, and create your mass of Christmas Cards!

Have Fun!

VanIsle Meeting Make & Takes

REMINDER - Today is the last day to take advantage of the 15% off stamp sale!

I only made four of the Make & Takes at our VanIsle SU Meeting last Saturday, and these are they.

This first one is a technique I had already planned to use and teach, in the new year, in one of my classes.

This next one is one have already done and may have been cased from mine...

This one is so bright and cheery, I had to make it. Plus, I love this bundle!

Someone on the team I'm on shared this Make & Take. It was fun creating the little scene in the circle, and the folded ruffle too.

Being Make & Takes, the insides aren't done. But I still plan to do that. Hope you have some inspiration for your Christmas cards from these ones.

ADDED: Someone asked for the measurements of the ruffle.

Cut Strip - 7 3/8" w  x 3" h
Angle  - measure from left 2 1/2" and make a mark. On right measure 1 1/2" from top and mark. Cut from mark to mark to create the angle.
Score - With 7 3/8" across top of Simply Scored Tool, score @ 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 5", & 6".
Accordion fold along score lines. Looks better if you DO NOT use the bone folder.

Happy Stamping!

VanIsle Swap - Christmas Gift Boxes Made With the Gift Bag Punch Board

Saturday I attended the VanIsle Stampin' Up Meeting. We always have a swap at these, along with a lot of other fun things. There were three categories one could sign up for - Birthday Cards, Christmas Cards, or a Christmas 3D project. I chose to only sign up for one, the latter category.

Today I will show you my project, and tomorrow I'll show you what everyone else that signed up for this category, created. I had to make eleven, and these are they.

I will show you one individually so that you can see it closer up and from all sides.

Completed, this box measures 5 3/8" w x 2 1/2" h x 2" d, and could be used for any number of gift giving items/ideas.

I also have the instructions for sale under the "Instructions" tab. There is a list of all the materials, supplies, & tools required, and step by step photos and instructions.

Workshop/Party Make & Take 2

Yesterday I showed you a "make & take" kit we assembled at a Stampin' Up! party last week. I decided I had to throw in a quick and easy birthday card as well. We are always in need of last minute birthday cards, so why not have one on hand and ready to use.

The beautiful paper from the "Pretty Petals DSP Stack" is used with two different stamp sets; the hostess set "Happy Birthday Everyone", and "Cottage Greetings" on the inside.

I love how beautifully the new Archival Basic Black ink stamps! It's so crisp and clean. Below you can see how I layered the card. Of course you don't have to, but I like layers and dimension...

Below you can see how I used the sentiment for the inside as a frame around the writing area, rather than taking from the writing space. I added the little blossoms to fill in the spaces of the frame and used my Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker to colour them in.

You can also see where my stamp block fell out of my hand on the left as I tried to position the stamp before stamping. I dislike it when that happens, but because I was in a hurry, I chose not to remake the inside.

Here are the pretty papers of this stack.

And here is the hostess "Happy Birthday Everyone" stamp set.You can only purchase this or earn it if you are a hostess for a Stampin' Up! party/workshop.

Below are the most of the items I used for this card.

Thank you for stopping by today! Happy stamping!

Workshop/Party Make & Take

Last week, for a Stampin' Up! party (or workshop as we call them) I created two make & takes. Today I will show you one with two parts to it, and tomorrow the other one.

The first make & take kit included a Curvy Keepsake Box and a 3 x 3 Card. At the party some of the women discussed all the  uses for the darling little keepsake box, and the idea they liked most was using it for jewelery gifts of bracelets, earrings and necklaces.

To decorate the box and card I used "Peaceful Wreath".

And for the tag I used Merry Everything and the Tag Punch. The Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker was used to colour in the berries. One could also use Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

Above is the view of the back of the box, and below is the sweet little 3 x 3 card. I even stamped on the envelope.

Below is the back of the envelope and the inside of the little card.

So there you have our Make & Take from last week's party/workshop. We all had so much fun making them! There are so many ideas on the web of how to decorate these darling little boxes! I encourage to to search Pinterest or Google for all the wonderful ideas for these Curvy Keepsake boxes. You'll have so much fun looking and even more, making them!

I was thinking that this would be a fun idea to create a different looking set for the Twelve Days of Christmas, or for Advents!

See below for what I used to create these cute little Christmas items.

Happy Stamping!
