Artistically Asian Card & Gift Box - Real Red, Black & Gold

The Asian bold red & black with gold combo is traditional and well loved by many around the world. Think of all the lovely traditional clothing, the black lacquered home decor items, and so on. That is the inspiration for today's all occasion gift giving set of a box and card.

I made two black tassels using embroidery floss; one for the card and one for the box.

This six sided box is created using the Gift Bag Punch Board.

The collage below, shows the box from different angles. When filled with gold or red tissue with the gift, the hole at the top will not matter. The bottom is reinforced.

Now, on to the card. The black lacquered home decor I mentioned earlier, is the inspiration for heat embossing in the clear the bamboo stamp in this set as the background. The black tassel is attached to the back of that and attached to the card base.

I love how the circle, reminiscent of Asian coinage or medallions, turned out.

Head on frontal look...

...and the inside view.

I had a lot of fun making this set, and hope that you are inspired to create with an Asian style.

Happy Stamping!

Tall & Skinny Accordion Mini Album & Instructions Available

I have another fun project for you that would make a wonderful Christmas gift! Of course it can be created to fit any occasion. The one I am showing you does not yet have photos in it, but I will add the photo later so that you can see what I've done with is mini. I am working on several projects to have completed for Christmas by November 20th. Of course, as it is with all of us, things take longer to completed than anticipated. I will be traveling to Arizona, and will want to drop off my Christmas gifts while there. So that is why I'm posting this before I have added the photos in it.

I did want to get the instructions out for you so that you have time to create some if you wish. So here are a few of the photos I've taken.

As you can see this little mini will hold a ton of photos. It has a three magnet closure, and closed, measures 4 1/4"w x 8 1/2"h x 1" thick.

I used Stampin' Up!'s "Timeless Elegance" DSP (138444). I used 14 sheets, which means that you may need to purchase two packages of this lovely designer paper. I am looking forward to getting the photos in there for one of my daughters.

The instructions are constructed with step by step photos, sorry no video, and are 24 pages in length. If you require additional help just email me - sabradcreations@gmail.com

Below is the link to purchasing the instructions if you are interested, as well as a list of Stampin' Up! product that I used to make this mini album.

VanIsle Swap - Christmas Gift Boxes Made With the Gift Bag Punch Board

Saturday I attended the VanIsle Stampin' Up Meeting. We always have a swap at these, along with a lot of other fun things. There were three categories one could sign up for - Birthday Cards, Christmas Cards, or a Christmas 3D project. I chose to only sign up for one, the latter category.

Today I will show you my project, and tomorrow I'll show you what everyone else that signed up for this category, created. I had to make eleven, and these are they.

I will show you one individually so that you can see it closer up and from all sides.

Completed, this box measures 5 3/8" w x 2 1/2" h x 2" d, and could be used for any number of gift giving items/ideas.

I also have the instructions for sale under the "Instructions" tab. There is a list of all the materials, supplies, & tools required, and step by step photos and instructions.
