I've been looking at the designers' lovely creations on the Stampin' UP! Challenge Blog "Casing the Catty" for a little while now. Somehow, all those times I looked, I missed the fact that anyone can participate! So I'm putting this out there for all my customers and followers, and encouraging you to participate! I guess I was just looking the creations and not really reading the blog.
CTC is about looking at the pages in the Catalogues and choosing a project that inspires a creation for you to make. CTC69 is showcasing inspiration from Love Blossoms section, pages 16-25 of the 2016 Occasions Catalogue.
With that in mind, I just created my own thing using the 6 x 6 "Love Blossoms" DSP.
As you can see, I made a 3 x 3 card with a DSP covered envelope flap on the envelope, and a small gift bag on the "Gift Bag Punch Board". I just now I see that the flowers I fussy cut to put on the bottom part of the tag on the bag didn't get put on before I took the photos!

This would be great for Easter, wouldn't it. Or even Mother's Day!

It was so exciting to get my May Paper Pumpkin Kit! Inside I found a bright & cheerful Birthday kit! It has 6 cards and 4 good sized gift bags ready for me to assemble.
Everything I needed was in the kit except for adhesive & Scissors. But the 6 card bases & envelopes, punch outs, stamp set, mini ink pad, 8 sheets of tissue paper, dimensionals, and cord were all in the kit. What a great deal for all that you get!
As soon as I saw what was all in the kit, I was already getting some ideas on what to do with it all. I decided to make some just as the instructions indicted, and some I would use with my ideas.
That's what I like about Paper Pumpkin, you can use your own creativity if you want!
So this is what the instructions tell us on how to make the cards (except I added the Calypso Coral around the circle edges).
And here are the variations that I made.
The stamp set has a balloon so I took some Whisper White scraps, stamped balloons and cut them out, tied Calypso Coral Baker's twine on them and tied it to a knot just under the sentiment circle. I also lowered the band to allow for the balloons.
For this card I used the back of the card, added Whisper White behind the band to make it pop more. I took two more of the punch-out circles and stamped balloons on them.
I decided that I would take one of the gift bags and cut it up for the card. That's where the dotted paper comes from. The two holes are from the top of the bag and I used some of the bag cord to take advantage of the holes.
For this card, I took the top curved flap of the gift bag and one of the large balloons to create this card.
I again used the back of the card for this one and cut the front of the bag with the die-cut balloons with one of the banners and popped them up.
Let's ave a look at the bags. This is how they turn out when you follow the instructions. I made two like this.
Because I had cut up one bag, I was left with a third one. This is what I did to it using some left-over bits and pieces, and adding to to them.

It always feels good to take something and change it up a bit. Today I'm showing you how to take the flat "Polka-Dot Tag Bag Gift Bags" and change their shape and function. We're making it into a treat or mini gift bag!
It's quick and easy, and you can make these in an assembly line fashion to make one for each child in your child's class, or for that fun Valentine party! You can also change it up and make these for birthday parties!

I now live in Lethbridge, Alberta. I love living in a smaller town! It only takes 20 minutes to go from end to the other! The prairies have a different beauty to them than the mountains and trees of Vancouver Island, but I still like living here.
I still haven't the opportunity to sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator again, but hope I can do that again some time in the future. I still love Stampin' Up! products!
I so look forward to sharing with you all the fun things that I create in the meantime when I am not making kits for Scrapbook Parade in Victoria, BC, or crocheting for family and blankets for the homeless.
