Thinking of Easter Yet?

Welcome from MiRan's blog! This is a sad post for me, as it will be my Seashore Stampers Blog Hop post.

I love to create Easter cards, because it makes me feel like Spring is here or will soon be here.

There is no way that a Demonstrator can get all the stamps one would like, and it took me a while to get the "Circle of Spring" stamp set. I had the Christmas ones with the coordinating dies, so it only made sense to get the "Circle of Spring" as well to maximize the use of the dies. And with the new Watercolouring pencils, it is an ideal combination to create something really pretty for Easter.

It really looks like Spring by adding all those extra vines and flowers around the wreath of flowers. I both the photos above and below, you can see how I layered everything.

Do you see the flicked Wink of Stella on the card? It adds some lovely sparkle to the card. I stamped and coloured 6 of the circles, 4 of which I cut in half to create a larger circle of flowers around the single one...

...with the remaining cut up for the inside of the card.

You can see how I layered everything in this last photo. Oh, I forgot to mention that this card is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

I think this card looks happy. It could also make a lovely wedding card, don't you think?

Even though this is the first time I have used this stamp, I hope it has inspired you to pull it out again and use this stamp again along with your water colour pencils. I know there is other inspiration from the previous blog posts, so you will have plenty of ideas now.

If you haven't seen the other posts yet, there links to hop from post to post below. Have fun hopping!

Seashore Stampers Blog Hop - Daily Encouragement/Reminder

Welcome form Mi Ran's blog! Hope you are enjoying the creative ideas we are sharing with you today.

Our theme for today's post is to create something that can be framed. I wasn't originally going to make a sampler, but as I was going through my stash, I came across the gorgeous Project Life "Hello Lovely" set of cards and accessories. Then as I was going through the cards my mind said, 'OK, there are too many items I want to use on this project. Might as well make another sampler.' I hope that you all don't mind. I chose the lighter colours to go with my home, and set out to make something to encourage me and remind me of things to work on.

You can see that everything is popped up with dimensionals. I used an old wall plaque purchased at a thrift store, and the 12 x 12 just fit on top of the image (well, actually it hangs over the edge about 1/32" all the way around).

The accessory package for this set, has some black alpha stickers and gold foil stickers. Obviously I used the gold, to put on the sampler some of the things that I need reminding of, and encouragement for. Being a religious person, praying in the morning when I get up, and at night before going to bed, is something that helps me in many ways. Unfortunately, as a very busy person it is something that I often forget, or put off. Since this makes my life better when I do it on a regular basis, it is important to me. I thought I would use this sampler as a reminder. Study, refers to reading and studying the scriptures on a daily basis, and Act, refers to acting on the things I learn and know are right. (you can see that I ran out of 'T's and had to great one with two 'I's.

Sometimes when we go through challenges, we need to be reminded that life really is beautiful. I fussy cut a few flowers from another card and popped them up in the lower left of the card.

And I added more fussy cutting here, with the banner as a reminder to think Happy Thoughts.

"Keep the faith" is something that we all need to be reminded of, and this doesn't have to be religious faith, but faith in ourselves, in what we are doing, etc., and not give up hope.

I love to fussy cut, so it wasn't an overwhelming thing to cut out this wreath out of one of the cards. This is the center of the sampler, and refers to all the reminders on the sampler...do do them everyday.

These are just some decorative elements for the sampler, and I love how they look.

As I was taking the photos for the post, I realized that these colours not only go in my home, but in parts of my eldest daughter's home as well. So now, do I keep it for myself, or give it as a gift to here, because I know she too wants to work on these things as well. Maybe I can find another plaque or frame and create a second one!

The next photo shows the plaque hanging on my wall.

You Choose - Vintage? Or Masculine? - Seashore Stampers Blog Hop

Welcome from Mi Ran's blog!

Our Favorite 2017 Occasions Stamp or a Valentine project is the theme for this month's Seashore Stampers Blog Hop! Not everyone around here makes Valentines, so not everyone purchased a Valentine themed product.

I tried to go for a certain look, but when completed, questioned it. In the end I decided it was more of a 'Pioneer' look. A card that a girl might give her 'beau' back then, with just a peek of petticoat showing, lol.

You can see in the photo below that I stamped the background with a couple of the smaller stamps in the set.

Here is the side view...

...and the inside of the card.

So did you decide what genre this card might be? Hope that it has given you some inspiration. And have you checked out the creations of the rest of our group? Be sure to leave a comment about their creations. The previous blog was Mi Ran, and after me, you go back to the beginning with Adrienne!

Seashore Stampers Blog Hop - Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone...

and Welcome from Mi Ran's blog!

It's hard to believe that tomorrow starts 2017! Where does the time go?

Seashore Stampers is happy to be sharing New Year projects with you today. In some parts of the world, New Years is as big a thing as Christmas when it comes to giving out cards. Today would be the last day that you could order some New Year stamp sets, so if you would like to order any, here is the link to shopping for "It's a Celebration" or "Frosted Medallion".

For my New Years card today, I am using the Frosted Medallion set, and chose the colours of Pool Party and Gold. Using my Aqua Painters I washed a bit of Pool Party ink in the background. When dried, I then used my Embossing Buddy, and heat embossed with gold the smaller of the medallions in this set. The sparkly gold glitter paper is great for New Years which I used to mat the stamped front and stitched oval sentiment with. I used my Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker to colour in the "Happy New Year", and my clear Wink of Stella to fill in the design on either side.

In this next photo you can see that the oval is the only thing that I popped up with dimensionals.

For the inside, a lovely sentiment (all text stamped with Basic Gray) and more of the smaller medallions matted with more gold glitter paper.

So there you have my New Year card for you. I also made another one for the Dream Theme International Blog hop with the other stamp set. If you would like to see that one, if you haven't already, click here.

Again, Happy New Year everyone!
