My 2017 Occasions Catalogue & Sale-A-Bration Launch/Open House

Saturday, January the 14th, I held my Open House after just a week of returning home from my visit with my daughter and grandchildren. It was exactly what the Doctor ordered. I had only about 10% of what I wanted to make for the Open House done, before I left. So in the week after I had to reorganize my craft room (with the help of a friend) and prepare for the event!

I managed to take some photos of the tables, but I forgot to take photos of people trying out the new Watercolour Pencils on the Sale-A-Bration "Inside the Lines" paper.

Here we go with my display. This is the first time I'm getting photos from my iPad to my computer, so we''l see how that turns out.

In the photo above, you see a green table. This is were people sat (2 to 3 at a time) to try out the new Watercolour Pencils on the Sale-A-Bration 12 x 12  "Inside the Lines" colouring paper that I had cut down to 4" x 4" squares.

I 'demoed' some tips and as the day wore on I was able to complete my piece, and I created a card with it.

The "Pacific Point" matted colouring and heat embossed sentiment are all popped up with dimensionals. I was happy with my first attempt at colouring with the pencils and paper. I look forward to creating some coloured projects. Should we add a class using this paper and the new watercolour pencils? I can see what else I can create. Perhpas two cards per class with all the colouring involved...

The biggest hit at the open house was the "Beautiful You" stamps for the cards and sampler.

Sharing My New Catalogue Launch Open House Photos & Door Prize Winners!

I missed seeing some of you yesterday, so I decided to share my photos of yesterday's event. Sadly, once everyone started arriving, I forgot to take photos of everyone there! But I can share with you my set up & displays. I took my photos in a clockwise direction starting from the entrance to my suite.

Next came the display of of a few of the new products and new In-Colours found in the new catalogue.

And, everyone's favorite spot, the New Catalogue with treats inside, and the door prize sign up station!

Then came the new cardboard display stand filled with cards I've created (and for sale). I should have taken a photo after I refilled it...

Then into the next room came the retired Stampin' Up! items that I had for sale. Some of them have never been used.

And of course, next, there are the free items to grab. Retired catalogues are great to keep for inspiration or to cut out images to create your own book of favorites.

I always have a few larger creations up for sale too that include albums to add your photos to, and boxes with card sets, etc.

I also had a section of items that carried over into the new catalogue and a few cards made with them, for some inspiration.

I made for each guest a little 3 x 3 envelope from the new "Affectionately yours" Specialty DSP that included a little thank you banner using the new "Thoughtful Banners" bundle with a individual packet of herbal tea. This is so that everyone could go home, make a nice cup of tea, and slowly browse through the new catalogue to make out their wish list!

I did get one photo of a friend that was first to arrive. Once the others arrived, the thought of photos completely left my mind.

New Catalogue Product Sneak Peek

Today I'm showing you just a bit of some of the new product available in the New Annual Catalogue! I do have some more product on it's way, but decided to show you what I have for now.

Let's begin with the NEW IN-COLOURS (2016 -2018)!

Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, & Dapper Denim. As you see below, I have the cardstock, ink pads, and Stampin' Write Markers. (Still need to get the ink refills) Beautiful colours, right!

Next I'm showing you two of the six Hostess stamp sets available in this new catalogue. Yup, that's six Hostess sets to choose from! Wait till  you see them all!

You have already seen some thank you cards that I made using the stamp set to the right, Love You Lots. The set on the left, I haven't used yet, but see so many uses for this set in cards, scrapbooking, Project Life, and little gift projects!

You may have already seen a bit of the Designer Series Specialty Paper that I'm showing you next, in yesterday's post.

If you are wondering what the 'Specialty' is, it's copper foil on the last two sheets on the right. This 12 x 12 paper I have used for one of the classes coming up at the next Scrapbook Parade Crop on June 25th. One dozen cards! Details to come sometime today on my Events Page.


For that same class I also used a new sentiment stamp set bundle titled "Thoughtful Banners Bundle". The bundle includes a punch with two different banners!

This is a great sentiment set to have! You can create phrases, or just stick an extra little word or two tucked in somewhere. You can see some of the uses I made with it on yesterday's post. I have more ideas for this set which you will see in some future creations.

My Open House & Paper Pumpkin Event

I have been busy all last week getting ready for my Open House & Paper Pumpkin Event held yesterday. It was a very long day, but very enjoyable. It was great to meet some new people and share my love of creating!

This time I made some display boards using those science fair boards you can pick up at the dollar stores.

 This was my Paper Pumpkin display. Many enjoyed seeing what was all included in the kits for such a great price! I had some beautiful cards packaged in twos, with a bow and a lovely tag to give to all who signed up for the great Paper Pumpkin deal going on until June 10th. Still open for any that would like to try the convenience and fun of Paper Pumpkin!

This was my New Catalogue display. I showed the new In-Colours, had a couple of cards made with two of the colours, and two cards displaying the new Hostess stamp sets, as well as the bags and boxes I made with the new Gift Bag Punch Board.

And this was the Sign Up Display section. I look forward to the classes I will be teaching! Thank you to those that signed up! It was quite the task to plan a the classes through to end of September, but it feels good to have a plan to follow.

This was the table where I sat to answer questions, book classes and workshop parties, as well as the red table for the Paper Pumpkin Make & Takes.
