Sneak Peek - Going Places DSP & Going Global Series - Part 4

Black & Delightful Dijon with a touch of Tip Top Taupe is what I used to create two pocket scrapbooking cards with this card. If you've missed the last three posts, I mentioned that each time I make a card, I would use up the scraps from creating the card to come up with my own pocket scrapbooking cards. The one on the left I can write on the black banner with the white uni-ball Gel Pen. And I can leave the rest as is, add a 2 x 2 photo, or stamp something on it later.

So let's look at the card itself.

I figured there was enough black, so I used my Tip Top Taupe Stampin' Write Marker to fill in some spots on the compass stamp since there was a bit of that colour in the black star map/chart.

Isn't the heart sentiment a great design. I love how the word "greatest" continues and forms the shape of the heart to punch out with the "Sweetheart Punch".

Here is the side view.

For the inside, I messed up. If you look closely you can see that I attached the inside, up side down! The dipper is upside down. I wanted the heavier stamp (the compass) at the bottom...

Two more of the "Going Places" DSP cards to go. Some time in the future I would like to just use cardstock and the "Going Global" stamp set. So watch for them to come a while down the road.

Sneak Peek - Going Places DSP & Going Global Series - Part 1

Welcome to more SNEAK PEEKS from the 2106 Occasions Catalogue! For the next few days I will be posting a few items made using the "Going Places DSP Stack" and the "Going Global" Stamp set found on page 39 of the upcoming Occasions Catalogue. (not sold as a bundle)

This first photo shows everything at once. I had decided this time to create something with the leftovers from each card I created. I opted to go for creating my own pocket scrapbooking cards with the scraps.

This first card I made, I also ended up with two 3 x 4 pocket scrapbooking cards and an embellishment. I hadn't decided whether to put it on the second scrapbooking card, or leave it as is to deal with later. I chose the latter as I can always put it on the card when I'm actually scrapbooking should I choose to do so.

Let's have a closer look at the first card.

So next you see just the card. You'll notice that I decided to go with faux stitching again. Been doing that a lot lately. Something old can become something new when you haven't used it for a while. Lol!

Here, in the next photo, you can see that part of the card more closely.

I created a small tag from the Ornate Tag Topper Punch by trimming down each side of the tag and rounding the bottom corners. I stamped the sentiment in Archival Basic Black and then with a Q-Tip pulled off the ink on the tiny heart and used my Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write Marker on it. I also stamped the sentiment again, onto a scrap of Lost Lagoon, and fussy cut the banner out while popping it up over the sentiment of the tag.

Today I decided to post a side view photo form each side.

For the inside, I off stamped/second stamped the globe on the bottom right corner, and punched out another sentiment stamped on a scrap piece with the Washi Punch.

I plan to use the "Going Places" & "Going Global" in my scrapbooking, BUT I would also like to create some cards using just the stamp set "Going Global" and  the "World Traveler Embossing Folder" once I get it.

Thank you for stopping by in your busy Christmas schedule to have a peek. Everything I used you will find below, with the exception of the new 2016 Occasions Catalogue items.

More "Moments Like These" Project Life Layouts

I quickly put together more layouts using the new Project Life "Moments like These" Bundle. A couple are traditional on 12 x 12, and the rest are pocket scrapbooking. Using the kit, things come together pretty quickly if you don't do too much stamping and embellishing. Since I like embellishing and didn't much at all this time, I might go back to do that at another time.

This one is a traditional 12 x 12 on black.

As is this one.

This one is a double page pocket layout. I like taking a larger photo and cutting it up to fit in multiple pockets.

At the next crop I go to, I will complete these with a little more embellishment.

I must say that Project Life is a great time save for either style of scrapbooking!

Moments Like These Project LIfe Layouts

I love the new Project Life Moments Like These Kit! You will find the bundle on page 51 in the new catalogue. I decided to create both the pocket scrapbooking layouts, and a traditional scrapbooking layout using this kit.

Let's have a look at the traditional double page layout first.

I used the star decorative mask on the black with Craft Whisper White ink, and then used a variety of card sizes from the "Moments Like These" card kit. I added some pieces I cut from scraps of the now retired "Basic Black" DSP, in all the layouts, as well. But you could also use the new "Everyday Chic" DSP (138445) in it's place.

I love that this kit uses the new In-Colours Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder. It was so easy to throw this together using the kit! And I did use some cardstock in those colours.

Now lets have a look at some pocket scrapbooking pages.

I did end up using additional Project Life stamp sets which you will find below.

Isn't my 3 1/2 month old grandson adorable?! These are photos taken over the past months showing his many faces. I get to meet him for the first time in November....

I forgot to do my journaling before taking the photo. I highly recommend using Project Life for your scrapbooking. It makes it so much easier to do, no matter what style of scrapbooking you prefer.

I also plan to have a class with this bundle in September.
Langford Legion Hall - 761 Station Ave.
Saturday, September 19th

Cost - $50.00
(includes Moments Like These card kit, accessories, stamp set & 12 assorted pocket pages for pocket scrapbookers or 12 of 12 x 12 cardstock/Designer Series Paper for traditional scrapbookers)

Happy scrapbooking!
