Another Dozen Thank You Cards - Wild About FLowers

Hello Again Everyone!

I'm entering another challenge, and want to get it posted today even though I've already posted a card for you today. I don't have to worry about linking everything later if I just do it now.

I've chosen Global Design Project again because I love the CAS sketch challenge (GDP#038) for this week. There are already some wonderful submissions from participants, and of course the design team always inspires.

With the Thank You card spree I'm on, this design layout is ideal to make another dozen.

I used  Marina Mist, Sweet Sugarplum with Wild Wasabi & Olive Green for these wonderfully Summer-like Thank you cards. Of course you can just change the sentiment for another occasion.

If I hadn't made a dozen of these cards I would of fussy cut out another set of blossoms and popped them up over the stamped ones.

I wanted a light texture behind the stamped image so I used Water Colour Paper and sponged on the Wasabi Green, Sweet Sugarplum, and Marina Mist ink from my ink pads to create the coloured backdrop for the stamped piece of Whisper White which was also given a hint of sky by lightly sponging a little Marina Mist behind the stamped flowers.

This little tiny tag was fun to make, and I was glad that it went well. The tag measures 1" x 3/8". I just cut the two corners off and punched a 1/16" hole at that end. Then I stamped the 'Hello' from the 'Thoughtful Banner' stamp set.

The only think popped up this card is that entire section strip, as you can see in the side view photo below.

This is an ideal layout of a quick and easy card or to make multiples with! It's always great to have a stack of cards to go to that are already made and waiting to be given away.

Due to the fact that some new products are still not available to me, I had to change my class schedule around to accommodate availability of these stamps after June 1st. So the following is a July class. Notice the Summer Offer too that will be for all classes held in my home during the Summer. Class at the Scrapbook Parade crops do not qualify for this offer. Techniques - Sponging, Background stamping with over sized stamp, Silhouette Stamping over another stamp, 3 colour Stampin' Write Marker blend stamping.

These cards are easy and don't take up too much time. Great class to learn some quick card making tips.

Bring to Class: Double sided adhesive tape, dimensionals/pop ups, Clear stamping block (size F or at least 4 3/4" x4 3/4" or larger), & Stamp cleaner if you are buying your stamp for class.

We will learn how to use a clear block with Stamp & Write Markers and Water misting to create the block background. And, learn how to sponge a background stamp and press the image on with a brayer.
Bring to class : Scissors, double sided adhesive tape, dimensionals/pop dots, bone folder, & paper piercer.

"Wild About Flowers" Thinking of You

As I mentioned yesterday, today's card is another case. The original was designed by Kim from Stamping at the Warren. I did make a few slight changes to it. The card base is Early Espresso, and I used two different greens for the stems; Old Olive & Pear Pizzazz, and some of the Melon Mambo flowers are second stamped/off stamped.

The sentiment, below, is stamped in Early Espresso and punched out with the Note Tag punch. Linen Thread is looped in behind the tag. with a Gold Metallic button tied off with a bow at the top of the tag.

This was so much fun to stamp! I think I would like to try it with the watercolour technique on Watercolour paper.

Next, you see the side view showing the two layers that are popped up with dimensionals.

For the inside I just did a couple of corners in like manner of the front.

This turned out to be a bright and cheerful looking card. I wonder what it would look like in other colours? Maybe you could give it a try and let me know how it turned out. You could even send me a photo or link to yours in a comment.
