Sharing My VanIsle Meeting Make & Takes

OK, I said I would share with the Make & Takes that I made at our last meeting.

This first card has a very interesting, and very fun technique using three marbles with a drop of Ink Refill on each in a wide full size wood block stamp case. You lightly attach your paper to one side and then close the case and roll the marbles around. You do that for each colour you wish to use, one case for each colour. It's addictive, and so fun to see what pattern you get each time.

This next Make & Take is a match book large enough to hold a gift card, folded bills, or in this case a sample of lotion.  The stamp set "Enjoy the Little Things" was used to make this. It's a quick and easy project and is great for hostess gift at a dinner you have for your friends, parties, showers, etc.

I didn't get the ribbon at the Make & Take so this Sale-A-Bration Baker's Twine is all I had to used for this project.

I love the colours on this Ink Resist card. I would have loved to use So Saffron for the card base, but being one of the last to get to this Make & Take, I ended up with a white card base. Inks used were So Saffron, Pool Party, & Mint Macaron. This "Awesomely Artistic" stamp set is next on my order list!

The last Make & Take I'm showing you is like a two page card. The "Grateful Bunch ? Blossom Punch bundle is used for this card.

Isn't this a great idea!? I plan to create my own designs using this style of card base.

Are you inspired with any of these? Have fun casing them or creating your version of these.

REMINDER: In two weeks Sale-A-Bration will be over, so be sure you have all your free product and maybe extra as gifts for your creative friends and family members!

Happy Stamping!

Another "Grateful Bunch" You Are Totaly Awesome Card

I have some classes that I will be posting soon, but needed to create a few more cards. You'll have seen the "Grateful Bunch" sneak peeks and some of them will be in a class, but his is something new made with that bundle.

As you can see in the close up below, I used Crumb Cake to stamp the blossoms with and then coloured them in with the Stampin' Write Lost Lagoon Marker.

I like the subtle lines, rather than the dark colouring book look of dark lines. In the photo below, the side views shows the layering of the card.

Often, when I colour, I stamp an extra item/set in case I mess up with the colouring. All went well, so I had an extra set of coloured blooms and decided to use them on the inside of the card. Even though I glued them in, they still look better than stamping directly onto the inside because they are an additional layer.

Next is a list of everything that I used to make this card with.

So, by the end of the week I should have the classes posted, both here on my blog and on my Stampin' Up! site under events.

Thank you for checking in, and Happy Stamping!

Grateful Bunch Sneak Peek #5

For this card I cased a card in the new 2016 Occasions Catalogue (pg. 22 Occasions). I liked how the butterflies were used on this card and is is an easy card to whip up when in a hurry.

Rather than using the  Mint Macaron ink pad, I used Versamark for the lace stamp. For the butterflies I used most of the current In-Colours (Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, & Delightful Dijon). To create the corners of the Whisper White panel, a 1/2" circle punch was used. That is the only element that is popped up with dimensionals.

For the inside, just a couple of butterflies, a sentiment and a strip of the lovely lace (that didn't stamp too well for me this time).

Well that concludes the Sneak Peeks for the "Grateful Bunch" stamp set bundle with "Blossom Bunch" Punch. Next Sneak Peeks will be using some of the "Going Place DSP"  and "Going Global" stamp set! See you tomorrow!!

What I used for this card you will find below (with the exception of the new Bundle).

Happy Stamping!

Grateful Bunch Sneak Peek Part 4

Enough of the white, right? I was thinking of one of my young teenage grand-daughters when I made this one, a tall and skinny card that fits into a business size 10 envelope.

I had seen somewhere on Pinterest, a year or so ago, a card that had these colours - Old Olive, Melon Mambo & Basic Gray. I wish now I had pinned it... I wanted to give it a try using the Grateful Bunch Bundle. (I'm wondering if I should have stamped the butterflies on the bottom, rather than the top, or over the entire green, both top and bottom).

Since there is no die for the dotted leaves, I fussy cut them out with my Paper Snips.

Here is the side view. you can see that rather than layering the Melon Mambo and Basic Gray onto the card, I cut 1/4" or wider strips and attached them tightly, side by side. It saves on cardstock and is a great way to use up scraps! I love the lace stamp by the way.

For the inside, I used the second line of the sentiment, and stamped a border with it in alternating Basic Gray & Melon Mambo ink.

I bet this card would look good in soft Subtle colours, or Regal colours for a more mature colour palette as well. I think my grand-daughter will love this card.

I used the following to create this card, with the exception of the new "Grateful Bunch" Bundle.

It was fun to play with some bright and bold colours. See you tomorrow for another Sneak Peek!

Grateful Bunch Sneak Peek Part 3

It seems I'm in the mood for mainly white and light colours again! Using Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, and Pink Pirouette with the white.

On the right I off stamped/second stamped the first line of the sentiment, and second line of the sentiment is stamped onto the the banner at the bottom.

I always love creating layered flowers, and this punch, which you can get in a bundle with the stamp set, makes it so easy!

Next you can see the layering from the side view.

I didn't do anything special for the inside, just stamped a bit in the lower right corner.

This turned out to be a beautifully feminine card, great to give a sister, mom or best friend...

You're going love stamping. punching and layering with this set!

With the exception of the stamp and punch bundle, this is what I used to make this card.

Grateful Bunch Sneak Peek Part 2

There is always something striking about a mainly white card and a few pops of colour. That's what I did for this second "Grateful Blooms" card.

The dotted lines of the leaves reminded me of quilting, which in turn reminded me of the old standby by of faux stitching. I decided to use it on this card, outside and inside. The sentiment was stamped using the Stampin' Write Markers in Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi (Regal colours).

Again the flowers are painted using my ink pads and Aqua Painters. The blue one was stamped with Archival Gray, while the tiny blossoms were stamped in Crushed Curry and Blushing Bride. The Aqua painters did just a quick brush stroke with more colour.

Next you can see the side view.

On the inside, I did a double line of faux stitching with two different colours - Marina Mist & Wild Wasabi. I then took a couple of post-it notes to cover the stitching, and stamped a partial of the flower in two corners.

Are you looking forward to getting this stamp set yet? Tune in tomorrow for another "Grateful Blooms" card. Below is the list of product used except for the bundle which isn't available yet.

Happy Stamping!
