Second post for today - See Sales at previous post.
For this last card that I made with the "Going Places DSP" and "Going Global" stamp set I was able to get five scrapbooking cards. Four are just the DSP, and the 5th is pieced. I also decided to see if I could create a 9 1/4" x 4" long card using the 6 x 6 DSP stack. I of course had to piece it and it wasn't a perfect job.
You can see better in this close up that I wasn't careful enough, because once that Tear & Tape is down, it's hard to peal back and reposition. I focused more on the Tip Top Taupe colour for this one..
TIP: For those of you that have never tried to have a cut shape within a shape, the best way to get the inner shape to line up or center within another, is to die cut or punch the inner shape first and then line up the outer shape around the inner one. The next photo is a close up of the main card features. The same applies to a stamp within a shape.
Because of having to piece together DSP to fit a larger area than the size of the DSP, I used Linen Thread to hide/disguise the seam in the paper.
And next you see the side view with the popped up layers.
Stamping, punched shapes, and banners, are used for the inside of this card.
Well this is the last Sneak Peek for the "Going Places DSP" and "Going Global" stamp set for the 2016 Occasions catalogue. Tomorrow will be a new item from the catalogue for Sneak Peeks!
In the mean time, below is a list of things used to create this card, with the exception of the DSP and stamp set that will be available January 5th in the 2016 Occasions Catalogue!
Happy Stamping!

Black & Delightful Dijon with a touch of Tip Top Taupe is what I used to create two pocket scrapbooking cards with this card. If you've missed the last three posts, I mentioned that each time I make a card, I would use up the scraps from creating the card to come up with my own pocket scrapbooking cards. The one on the left I can write on the black banner with the white uni-ball Gel Pen. And I can leave the rest as is, add a 2 x 2 photo, or stamp something on it later.
So let's look at the card itself.
I figured there was enough black, so I used my Tip Top Taupe Stampin' Write Marker to fill in some spots on the compass stamp since there was a bit of that colour in the black star map/chart.
Isn't the heart sentiment a great design. I love how the word "greatest" continues and forms the shape of the heart to punch out with the "Sweetheart Punch".
Here is the side view.
For the inside, I messed up. If you look closely you can see that I attached the inside, up side down! The dipper is upside down. I wanted the heavier stamp (the compass) at the bottom...
Two more of the "Going Places" DSP cards to go. Some time in the future I would like to just use cardstock and the "Going Global" stamp set. So watch for them to come a while down the road.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

Today is the third card in this series.
With this card I got to create more scrapbooking cards than with the others. The reason for that is I made a cutting mistake and had to pull out a second sheet for the card, therefore having more to work with when creating the cards.
One thing that I have
come to love doing since creating my albums in November, is stamping on
1/4" or 3/8" strips of cardstock, to create interesting borders with text. Why
not try it on a card?
I really like this DSP Stack, it can be used for so many things! The colours are wonderful, and lend themselves well to travel and masculine things.
Here is the side view.
For this inside, I stamped the 'dipper' stamp three times with a different colour each time.
OK, so that's it for this card. Hope there is something that inspires you for some of your card creations. To see what I used for this, you can see it below. Of course that's without the new items from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue.
Happy Stamping, and lots of fun these last few days left for getting ready for Christmas!

With this card I only made one 'scrapbooking card'. I added a very vanilla strip to use as a journaling spot when I use the card in my layout.
My two favorite stamps of the "Going Global" stamp set is the globe and the compass. The sentiments are great too, but a little more limiting in their use and application. For instance, I too the sentiment 'world's best dad" and only stamped "world's best" for this card...
...which you can see better in the next photo.
"I Thank My Lucky Stars" stamp is such a fun element to add to a card. Love the design of it.
Here's the side view...
...and the inside. Again I masked the 'dad' off of the sentiment.
Hope you are able to sop by for the next in the series tomorrow. With the exception of a link to the new products (Going Places DSP & Going Global stamps set) you will find everything I used below.
DON'T FORGET THE YEAR-END SALE LIST! The link is below.
Happy Stamping everyone!

Welcome to more SNEAK PEEKS from the 2106 Occasions Catalogue! For the next few days I will be posting a few items made using the "Going Places DSP Stack" and the "Going Global" Stamp set found on page 39 of the upcoming Occasions Catalogue. (not sold as a bundle)
This first photo shows everything at once. I had decided this time to create something with the leftovers from each card I created. I opted to go for creating my own pocket scrapbooking cards with the scraps.
This first card I made, I also ended up with two 3 x 4 pocket scrapbooking cards and an embellishment. I hadn't decided whether to put it on the second scrapbooking card, or leave it as is to deal with later. I chose the latter as I can always put it on the card when I'm actually scrapbooking should I choose to do so.
Let's have a closer look at the first card.
So next you see just the card. You'll notice that I decided to go with faux stitching again. Been doing that a lot lately. Something old can become something new when you haven't used it for a while. Lol!
Here, in the next photo, you can see that part of the card more closely.
I created a small tag from the Ornate Tag Topper Punch by trimming down each side of the tag and rounding the bottom corners. I stamped the sentiment in Archival Basic Black and then with a Q-Tip pulled off the ink on the tiny heart and used my Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write Marker on it. I also stamped the sentiment again, onto a scrap of Lost Lagoon, and fussy cut the banner out while popping it up over the sentiment of the tag.
Today I decided to post a side view photo form each side.
For the inside, I off stamped/second stamped the globe on the bottom right corner, and punched out another sentiment stamped on a scrap piece with the Washi Punch.
I plan to use the "Going Places" & "Going Global" in my scrapbooking, BUT I would also like to create some cards using just the stamp set "Going Global" and the "World Traveler Embossing Folder" once I get it.
Thank you for stopping by in your busy Christmas schedule to have a peek. Everything I used you will find below, with the exception of the new 2016 Occasions Catalogue items.
Happy Stamping! And see you tomorrow with more!
