Unique Wedding Card 2

OK, so this is the third card I made in search of a wedding card to give to my daughter on her wedding day. Her colours were Black and Purple, while her partner's were Black and Red. So I thought maybe I would try and make a lighter card using only the black & purple. I used a non Stampin' Up! embossing folder on the purple because I didn't have a SU one that would go with the stamped flourishes of the First Sight stamp set.

After stamping the flourishes, I added some little Rhinestones on them as well as a nice line of them under the sentiment as you see below.

The white section is popped up with dimensionals as you see in the side view below.

I lost the photo of the inside, so I can't show it to you. But I just had off stamped flourishes in the upper left (smaller) and lower right (a little larger) corners.

Tomorrow I will show you the final of the three, but the second one I made. This is the card I ended up giving the couple, even though it is a very different kind of wedding card.

Before I begin today's post, I'm reminding you that today is the last day to register for the "You've Got This" card class. We will be learning a lot of fun techniques in this class, so be sure to not miss out!

Botanical Blooms - Part 4

This is the last card to show you for this class. I love how this one turned out, and the big thing about it's success is the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum. You must get this before it's gone forever! The light printed patterns, so add to any project you may undertake. I have two pads so that it will last me a while.

In real life you don't really see the glue dots that keeps the velum on the front of the background stamping. I guess the lighting for the photo makes you see it a little more. The large sentiment is a big favorite for many stampers, and I heat embossed in gold onto the vellum.

Here is a close up to see the gold heat embossing and the printed pattern on the vellum more easily.

From the side view you can see that the background stamped piece and the vellum are exactly the same size, adhered together, and then popped up onto the card base with dimensionals.

I always have to do a little something on the inside. I prefer it over a blank interior. Even just a sentiment is not enough to me.

Global Design Project #25 Challenge

I used to participate much more in challenges than I have lately. I still follow them and check them out, but often feel I don't have the time. I now have some new stamp sets, and decided to participate and showcase one of them today by using a challenge as inspiration to create a card. Global Design Project, or GDP, has a colour challenge this week, and I love colour challenges!

Since I chose a stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration flyer, this card can not be part of a class. Sorry Ladies. But with a $60.00 order you can get this stamp set for free!
