Hello everyone! Today's card is for the 'fussy cutter'. What I love about fussy cutting is the effect you get when you layer all the things you cut out. And if the card is for someone special, then it's worth the extra work.
In the closeup below you can see the details of the layering better. You can also see the light background stamping I did using the "Hardwood" background stamp. To get that faded look, all you have to do is take a piece of Stampin' Sponge, ink it, and dab the stamp a little here and there. Then take the piece you are going to stamp[ and place it on top of the background stamp and without moving the piece of cardstock, gently rub, or use your brayer, to imprint your background. Who says you have to have the background stamp in it's entirety?
Here, in the following photo, you can see the background effect again where I stamped the sentiment.
Below is a side view. The only thing popped up, with dimensionals, is the foreground flower.
I used the same background technique for the inside of the card. With using Sahara Sand, the background is light enough that it won't interfere with what you write on the inside of the card.
I also off stamped more than once to get lighter colouring with the same ink pads. Have fun with this technique! (What I used will be at the end of this post)
Hope you have been having fun browsing through the new Occasions & Sale-A-Bration catalogues! (Links to the PDF Catalogues on on the right side bar)

If you are looking for this week's WEEKLY DEALS, they will be post a little later today. But I'm going back to the "What I Love" sneak peek series.
For this card I went to light to the colours of So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, and a little Blushing Bride for the ink resist panel popped up on the card.
In this close-up, perhaps you can better see the 'Gorgeous Grunge" spots heat embossed in gold, as is the sentiment on the vellum strip. The sentiment is from the "Enjoy the Little Things" stamp set.
I added pearls and sequins hoping to add a bit of a glamorous look.
For this inside, I blended the same colours around the edge to create a bit of a frame around the gold heat embossed sentiment, also from the "Enjoy the Little Things" stamp set.
So, that's it for this card. A fairly easy card to create. I have more still to come. Be sure to check in later today for the WEEKLY DEALS.
Here is what I've used for the making of this card.
Don't miss out on the weekly deals being posted after this.
Happy Stamping!
For today's "What I Love" Sneak Peek card, I've also included another stamp set from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue - "Enjoy the Little Things" for the sentiment.
To create the white sentiment strip, just position a masking strip (I created mine from a 5" x 3" pot-it-note) and stamp your images with it in place. When you remove it, you have a nice clean strip to stamp you sentiment onto.
Here is a close-up so that you can see it better.
Whenever you use a lot of bright colours, they pop out best when matted with black, as you see on this card. This is popped up using dimensionals as you see below.
As you will see in the next photo, I used another of the sentiments from "Enjoy the Little Things" plus the sliver of a black frame. I know that some of my class customers are rolling their eye, lol, because that means working with 1/16ths or 1/32nds of an inch. Sorry, but sometimes that looks best to me. For you, if you want a larger frame, go for it.
With the exception of the two stamp sets used, everything I used to create this card is below.
It's fun, to share with you, the things I'm making as a Sneak Peek for you of the new product coming up in the 2016 Occasions & Sale-A-Bration Catalogues. Hope you are enjoying it too. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday the 9th when you come to pick up your catalogues and browse at some of the new things that will be available to you on the 5th.

For the next few days, I will be giving you a SNEAK PEEK of one of the SALE-A-BRATION stamp sets - What I Love - with a few cards I created.
For three months, with every $60 you spend, you will be able to choose free product from the Sale-A-Bration flyer! This is everyone's favorite time of year! Who doesn't love to get free creative supplies!
This is the two or three step stamp set, "What I Love".
This set is a must have because You can do so much with it!
For my first card, a CAS card that is easy to create and assemble, I pulled out my "Modern Mosaic" embossing folder for the background texture.
I then created a little square featuring the flowers of the set. I also took my Aqua Painter and used the ink of the outlines of the stamped leaf images to fill in some of the white space. Here's a close up of it.
The layering is very simple too, but took a side view shot anyway.
And here is the inside.... Hope that you all love to beautify the inside of your cards too.
Great FREE stamp set, right! Wait till you see the other cards. With the exception of the stamp set, all that I used to create this card you will find below.
Well that's it for this card. See you tomorrow for a Sneak Peek of another card made using this set.
