DSP Sneak Peek Sympathy Card - 1

A real quick post. I have had to attend two funerals last week, and needed to make a few sympathy cards (my Dad needed some too). I decided to give you a sneak peek of one of the designs of the "Falling In Love" DSP coming in the new 2017 Occasions catalogue.

Using DSP can help in making real quick and easy cards when needed. For this one I just stamped a sentiment right on to the DSP.

I will have a couple more sympathy cards to show you,  and one of them has this same DSP.

Thoughts & Prayers with Me = Grateful

Just a little something because I wanted to make it. No class, just sharing. 

The floral branch from "Thoughts & Prayers" is heat embossed in white, as are the "Petite Petals" on vellum. They are punched out with the Petite Petals punch. In addition, I punched out more vellum flowers with the Boho Blossoms punch. All the blossoms are coloured from behind with the Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker.

You can see it a little better in the close up below. I used both Rhinestones and Pearls for the blossom centers.

I don't know if  you can tell, but the text with the outline I filled in with the same Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker to darken it a little. (I still need to get my Neutral Stampin' Write Markers)

Next you can see the side view.

On the inside I used Smoky Slate ink on the stamp, and then with a QTip I removed the ink on the blossoms and used my Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker on them. After stamping the sentiment on the inside, I filled in the outlined text with the same marker.

Richly Coloured Card Classes

This is the second post for today.

This past week I've had a couple of classes for the Richly Coloured Cards using "Thoughts & Prayers". For the first class I had my camera all ready and right on the table where I would be demonstrating. Guess what? I completely forgot! The second class had only two people, but I remembered to take photos with their permission.

Just wanting to share the fun we have in my classes!

 And here are some of the cards that were made!

Of course I had to demonstrate how to create these cards in each class, so I have two more to show you as well. I created this Blue one in the first class where I forgot to take the photos.

And the inside...

Remember me saying ow addicting these cards are? Well while I was making this one as a demo, I taught "I wonder what a gray and pink one would like?" I was thinking of doing it after everyone left, but then decided to make it as my demo for the second class.

 I told you, these are addictive! Here's the inside.
