Paper Players #286 & Can You Case It #111 - You Are Remarkable

After a long and busy weekend not in my craftroom, I'm back in there creating. I'm entering two challenges today combining the colour challenge at The Paper Players and Can You Case It! There are still three days left to enter should you like to try, or go on over and check out the design team inspiration and the participant entries! Always great inspiration coming form checking our challenge blogs.

For my entry, I'm using the "Remarkable You" stamp set. The Bermuda Bay is being used for the leaves, and "Calypso
Coral" for the flowers. With black being the main colour, it makes the other really pop.

I used the Aqua Painters on both the leaves and flowers after stamping them with Archival Basic Black. Then to add a little more deeper colour for shadow I used my Stampin' Write Calypso Coral Marker.
Of course I had to fussy cut the leaves and flowers, that's just me. You can see the details on the close up below.

Even though the flower stem is stamped on Calypso Coral, I still used Bermuda Bay with my Aqua Painter on for the stems. I was glad to see that it worked out well. I was thinking it might look muddy...

In the next photo you can see from the side a bit of the layering.

Thank you for sharing in the fun with me, of entering a couple of challenges! Hope you get some great inspiration and enter too.

Happy stamping & creating!

English Garden Layout

I rarely get the chance to scrapbook, but had a hard time getting to sleep one night recently and decided to create a simple layout. I didn't quite finish it that night as I began to feel I could finally get to sleep. I finished it the next morning.

It's fun to be able to stamp when creating a layout, and that works well when you use one photo. I wanted this photo to be the only one on the page and printed it at 7"w x 5"h.

It's great that my daughter captured the splash of my grandson's rock throwing into the creek.

From this side view you can see that some of the items I stamped, I popped up. I used the Project Life Grid Cards for all of these. If you wish to know what stamp sets I used, check below.

Thank you for visiting today, and hope you'll stop by again tomorrow.

Happy stamping!

Remarkabe You - Water Lily in Watermelon Wonder

I don't know what this colour looks like on your computer, but on mine it's much too bright. Hope yours looks more like the right colour - Watermelon Wonder.

I used the Water Lily (and the leaves again) for this 5" square card.

Love how the leaves turned out! I stamped them two times on scrap and then the third time onto the card piece. They turned out nice and soft and light! Just like I wanted.

The Lily I stamped onto the Very Vanilla square with Watermelon Wonder and then onto a piece of Watermelon Wonder scrap cardstock. After drawing the white lines with a white Gel pen, and cutting it out, I stacked atop the stamped one on the VV square.

Inside I continued with the soft Watermelon Wonder leaves.

So, hope you've liked the "remarkable You" cards! Stop by tomorrow to find out about when this class will be.

Happy Stamping!

Remarkable You - Silver Magnolia

I love navy & white, navy & gold, and navy & silver. It sometimes takes me a little time to decide which colour to coordinate the navy with when I decide to with navy for a card. For today's "Remarkable You" card I chose silver, because I wanted to use rhinestones.

Then I decided to add white by using a tiny piece of sponge and applying it to the silver embossed image.

Love the Magnolia, and enjoy seeing them when they bloom here in Victoria, BC.

Just a simple inside...

Tomorrow's "Remarkable You" card will be made with the yummy "Watermelon Wonder"! See you then!

Happy Stamping!

Remarkable You - Leaves

Some people never have enough Birthday cards, but I never have enough Thank You cards! When the "One Big Meaning" stamp set came out, I was excited. It's always nice to have something different to work with and create with.

So this will be another Thank You using both the "Remarkable You" and "One Big Meaning stamp sets.

I love the leaves in this set and can see that I will use it a lot. I combined Mint Macaron and Pear Pizzazz when stamping the leaves.

From the side you get an idea on how this card came together.

And, on the inside...

A simple but beautiful card. Check below to find out what I used to make this card.

See you tomorrow for another "Remarkable You" card!

Happy Stamping!
