Artisically Asian in Wild Wasabi, Dapper Denim & Gold

Today's Artistically Asian card is in Dapper Denim, Wild Wasabi & Gold. This is another colour combination I have often seen in Asian art, clothing, & home decor. I would like to try this card again to see what it would loo like if I watercolour stamped the flowers. They look like a type of orchid, but I don't know my flowers that well. Maybe a future card.

Here is a closeup of the image I created using sponges in ink pads.

And a side view so that you can see I did not use any dimensionals for this card.

For the inside, I usually stamp on the right, but this time decided that since the flowers are all bending to the right, they would mostly get cut off, so that meant stamping them on the left so that you could see more of the flowers. I guess I could have done Mirror stamping... Oh well.

I will be posting this class soon, as well as other cards I had decided not to use for this class. This is a very lovely stamp set to use and can lend itself well for masculine cards as well.

Happy stamping and creating!

Seashore Stampers Make & Take

As Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, we get together in 'Downline' meetings and 'VanIsle' meetings. You can't help but make friends at these meetings. So our group of six decided to start getting together regularly and call ourselves 'Seashore Stampers'! We take turns hosting, bring potluck for our lunch, discuss ways to be better Demonstrators, teach each other new techniques, and have a couple of Make & Takes each time we get together.

This time I provided a Make & Take. I had two ideas, but didn't know which one to pick. So I made them both and sent my friends a photo of each taking a vote. The winner ended up being the butterfly card. However, I did not want to disappoint those that voted for the World Traveler/Number of Years card either. So I decided, since it is Easter, to create the butterfly kits for the M&T and make the other card as an Easter gift for each of my friends.

Let me show you the 'gift' card first.

I love these soft and 'subtle' colours!

I fussy cut the lovely stamped flowers from the "Number of Years" stamp set and popped it up over the latitude inspired banner strips, that are also popped up.

And on the inside a few more of those lovely flowers.

The "Number of Years" stamp set is part of the 2016 Occasions Catalogue which expires May 31st. So, if you love the look of this stamp set, don't take too long to get it! Below are some of the products used to make this card.
(Scroll down to the Butterfly card)
This is the card that was voted in for our Make & Take. This card is actually cased from Joy Taylor on pinterest. Thank you Joy for creating such a lovely card.

Just love these bright colours!

Just a peek of a butterfly for the inside.

Since this card measure 5 1/2"w x 3 1/2"h, we also used the Envelope Punch Board to create a good fitting envelope. Below are the products used to make this card (I did, however, forget to include the envelope punch board).
We had a great meeting and tossed some great ideas around. Thank you for stopping by to have a look.

Happy stamping!
