Short Notice Class - English Garden Dozen

Before I post the rest of the Christmas Card Club cards, I need to post this for you because it comes on the schedule before the Christmas Card Club class.

The "English Garden DSP" is so beautiful I decided we needed to make some cards featuring it. This makes the cards so easy to put together, and very little stamping is involved. A break after the "Richly Coloured" and "By the Tide" classes. So in 3 1/2 hours we will make a dozen cards!

Now, because there are so many cards, and I like to show you the card in three photos, I made small collages of each card for you to cut down the number of images for this post.

Very easy class where the DSP (Designer Series Paper) is the star! The English Garden DSP is such beautiful paper, it had to be the focus for some cards. That means very little stamping, and in 3 1/2 hours we will create a dozen cards! You will have type written instructions to keep, and some of the needed items will be cut and ready, while some you will have to cut yourself.

Bring your "To Go Kit" as well as jewels and pearls, and your paper trimmer. See the "To Go Kit" list at the top right of this blog.

I know I've said it before, but I just love light blues and greens together! For this card I used the water colour stamping technique. I was happy to find out that it even works on vellum!

The trick is to let it sit for a couple of minutes and wipe away the water and excess quickly so that the colour doesn't just spread around.

This is just regular Whisper White. You don't have to use Water Colour Paper like I did for the banner on the outside front.

This technique works best with the more solid stamps, not the outline stamps. Try it out and see the effect it has.

Lovely Amazing You - Feather Wreath

This card is bright and cheerful as well as fun in colour. One that one of my Grand-daughters might enjoy. Yellow, red & black always remind me of Back-to-School.  As this stamp set has only a feather and an envelope, I wanted to see what I could create with the feather that would be a little different. A feather wreath!

I used So Saffron, Crushed Curry, & Hello Honey. How did I get a good circle? I placed a 2" punched circle to stamp around. The banner were of course made with the new Triple Banner Punch!

I pinched two 1/8" holes and fed a triple folded piece of embroidery floss through to tie the bow. I forgot to take a photo of the inside, sorry.

Lovely Amazing You - Chocolate

I'm not sure why there was mention of chocolate in this stamp set when the only images are a feather and an envelope. But I wanted to use the sentiment anyway. So that means using chocolate colours, right!

Then to top it off, I didn't have any Chocolate Chip ribbon left, so after checking all my options, I used Espresso.

Had fun with the little tiny heart stamp! Be careful! This is an easy on to loose!

Love those little envelopes! Would be a great stamp for scrapbooking, too.

Lovely Amazing You - A Flop?

OK. Today I'm showing you a card that to me is very close to a flop. I'm not saying it's a bad card, it's just not what I envisioned it to turn out like, and it's definitely not me! Not my style. I could see some of my grand-daughters liking this card though. I also wanted to show you that we all have those projects that just don't quite come together for us. Needless to say this will not be appearing in any class.

Each envelope is stamped and cut out and then layered. The bottom section is a masked section of Watermelon Wonder sponged on and then later stamped with white feathers.

The inside is better I think. Masking is again involved in the stamping of the envelopes.

Later today, my two daughters and their families will be arriving, and I'm super excited to see them all!

Lovely Amazing You - Marina Mist & Mint Macaron

I just love soft blues and greens together! It is well reflected in my home, although softer than these colours on the card. I know many of you don't care to fussy cut out images and such, but I don't mind, becuse I love the finished look.  

From two different angles you can see better the layering of this card.

And for the inside just some simple second stamping of the feathers.

Did I say how much I love this colour combo? LOL!
