Class Photos & Weekly Deals!

Let's begin with the photos of the "By The Tide" classes today. The Weekly Deals will follow that.

First off, I had three classes for this set of cards. One class I forgot to take photos, and another all but one or two were blurry. They certainly did not look blurry when taking the photos. So that means I don't have photos from each class to post. Sorry, if any of you were looking forward to having your photos and creations on the blog.

I created this step by step board for three of the cards we made, to help those taking the class.

It's always fun to get together and create. Inking, masking, and learning the Bokeh technique was a first for many. All were happy with their end result and everyone did a great job with such an intense class.

Tip Top Taupe & Watermelon Wonder By The Tide

I had one more idea and card to share with you that I made using the By The Tide stamp set. Now I need to decide which ones to use for my July Stamp of the Month Stamp Class!

This one I decided to to try Tip Top Taupe and Woatermelon Wonder! The colours work well together and make a great feminine ocean/seaside lover's card.

I was thinking originally to just stamp everything without fussy cutting pieces to layer, but it looks so much better this way.

 So now I will decide which ones to use for the class in July. I'll let you know soon.

By The Tide - Delightful Dijon & Night of Navy

For this card I took the colour combination of my latest "Four Feathers" card. I think it ended up looking better than this one. But as a masculine card it might just pass.

I deliberately stamped the fish and seahorse in the background twice. Once with Delightful Dijon and then slightly offset with Night of Navy.

Inside - the off stamping didn't turn out a well as it did on the front.

By The Tide - Tip Top Taupe & Soft Sky

Hope you aren't getting tired of the "By the Tide" cards. For this version I wanted to use the Woodgrain embossing folder to look like water, and again use a new In-Colour. The Tip Top Taupe went well enough with Soft Sky, so that is what I used.

The colour combination does look better in real life. As you can see I fussy cut out a couple of elements to make them pop and give a little dimension.

I hope you aren't getting tired of seeing cards made with this stamp set, but when I get a new stamp set I like to play with it and execute all my ideas. I will decide later which ones I will use for the class using this stamp set.

By The Tide - Mint Macaron

For this "By the Tide" card, I decided to use one of the new In-Colours, Mint Macaron. When I was taking the photos later, I couldn't help but wonder what it might look have looked if I'd used gold or silver embossing powder. I might just try that another time. In the mean time, here is this version.

I like the knotted linen thread wrapped around the corners of each stamped piece.

By The Tide - Cased

Today's "By the Tide" card I cased from Pinterest created by Narelle Farrugia. I just couldn't resist making it. Thank you Narelle.

I was happy that the background script stamp came out so well without using a Stamp-a-ma-jig! Looks pretty simple, but there sure are a lot of layers on this card. But that's what makes the card so striking.

I forgot to take a photo of the inside for this card, but it's nothing spectcular anyway.

By The Tide Using Bokeh

I recently ordered the stamp set "By The Tide" and am having a lot of fun making up a bunch of cards with it. I will be sharing these cards with you over the next few days. Some of them will be for a future class, and this card is one of them, so keep your eye out for the class posting if you'd like to learn how to use the Bokeh technique.

I decided not to place a sentiment on the front of the card, but can always be added if I change my mind. You should have seen my hands after completing it, and that was with trying to be careful!

And here is the inside of the card.

This is a great card to make for those of us that live by the ocean. When you live by the ocean, a card like this works for nearly every occasion! Looking forward to showing the others.
