Thank You So Much

Happy Monday everyone!

I had a wonderful time at our Vancouver Island Stampin' Up meeting in Naniamo on Saturday. We had great discussions, a wonderful pot luck lunch on beautiful china, a great card swap, and some fun make and takes!

One of the things that we do at these meetings is bring a blank Thank You card and envelope for the organization that runs the hall we use for these meetings. Today I'm sharing with you the card that I made. I was very much in the mood for soft gray (Smoky Sate) and soft yellow (So Saffron).

I didn't use Whisper White for this card, but opted for Naturals White as I thought the flecks in the cardstock would go well with the stars I used from the Perpetual Calendar Stamp Set to create the diagonal background and the border around the edge of the tag. I added the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer punched stars and the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers.

Next, you can see the layering of the card.

Hope you enjoy this card. Over the next week (or longer) I will post the card that I made for the swap, the cards I received in the swap, and the make and takes made at the meeting. So, there will be a lot of fun checking out all the projects created by other people other than myself.

To see what I all used in the making of this card check below.

Happy Stamping!

More New Sale-a-bration Items!

This is my seond post for today. If you are looking for the Weekly Deals, it's the previous posting.

Stampin' Up has made a new announcement!

Since Blendabilities are no longer available as a Sale-A-Bration redemption item, we anticipate that the demand on other Sale-A-Bration items will be higher than forecasted. For that reason, all Sale-A-Bration items (with the exception of stamps) will be available "while supplies last." To help alleviate any inconvenience this may cause, we've made more items available to redeem for free during these last few weeks of Sale-A-Bration.

These additional items are great to get for free with every $60 you spend! More items to cross off of your wish list.

So you can see the items on the flyer more clearly you can check them out here.

Happy Creating!

New Weekly Deals

Sad News From Stampin' Up

Due to circumstances beyond the control of Stampin’ Up!, the quality control issues could not be resolved with the manufacturer of our Blendabilities.

Therefore, the difficult decision has been made by Stampin' Up to stop offering this product. A very, very sad day indeed – I sure loved them!

We still have the Stampin' Up Writer Markers and other ways of colouring with the beautiful Stampin' Up inks!

You can buy the entire set in a marvelous carry box, ...

...or, you can buy them in smaller sets (no carry box though).

"So You" Mini Album Kit - Class 3 For April 11th

CLASS CANCELLED

For those of you that missed the last two posts, on Saturday, April 11th, I will have three classes! Two of these classes will be using some fun project kits from Stampin' Up, and the other will be a card class.

This is the schedule for that day.

Class 1 - Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit - 9:30 am to 12 noon - $55.00 (this includes the kit and the stamps set with no
shipping and taxes for you when you take the class!)
Class 2 - Cards - 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm - $25.00
(no shipping and no taxes for you on your package of pearls when you take the class!)
Class 3 - So You (mini album) Project Kit - 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm
- $55.00 (this includes the kit, White Stazon Pad & Refill, Stazon Cleaner, & a long strip of Mini Glue Dots. Stamp sets are extra, or bring your own. Should you wish to order the stamp sets and have them for class, let me know and I will include them in the class order with free shipping and no taxes! See below.)

Today I'm showing you the project that we will make for the 3rd class of the day; the "So You" Project Kit (mini album)!

Included in the Stampin' Up "So You" kit -

There is a stamp set that goes with this kit, but I used what I already have. The stamp set on the left, "Perpetual Birthday Calendar" stamp set, worked very well with this kit, as did the Project life "Remember This" stamp set on the right.

Her is my cover design. You can, of course, make it your own creative design.

In this class we will learn how to use the White Stazon ink and stamp on clear sheets creating our own photo covers! I still can't create videos, so instead of photographing every single page, I grouped them together.

I still have empty pocket pages and other kit elements left over that I didn't use and can use for other projects.

I stamped the spine, and will probably add more stamping on the inside covers too.

Included in your class kit -

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

I will also provide you with  long strip of mini glue dots, and 10 journaling grid cards!

This is what you will need to bring to class.
  • scissors
  • 4 x 4, or smaller, photos (must have photos to make the kit elements work)
  • double sides adhesive tape
  • clean rag/cloth (you may want more than one)
  • photo/paper trimmer
  • paper piercer
  • your own stamps for stamping borders - images or text
  • stamp blocks
  • optional - colour ink pads of your choice
  • splat mat (silicon non stick mat)
  • ink blending tool with new/clean foam pads

Recommended stamp sets for this project if you wish to order these to have for class. If you let me know you want to order any of these, let me know and we can arrange for payment so that I can include them in the class order. (or bring your own stamps)

The first three stamp sets below are what I used on this project.

But there is a "So You" stamp set that was made for this project kit.

I had so much fun making this mini album! It went together so quickly because there is so much included in the kit right there for you! I look forward to this class with you.

This is the schedule for that day.

Class 1 - Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit - 9:30 am to 12 noon - $55.00 (this includes the kit and the stamps set with no shipping and taxes for you when you take the class!)
Class 2 - Cards - 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Class 3 - So You (mini album) Project Kit - 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Today, I will be showing you the Perpetual Calendar Project Kit as I made it. All Kits come with instructions, but you can always use everything in the kit the way you want to! This kit even comes with a storage box or a gift box!

This is the image from the Stampin' Up Occasions Catalogue that shows you everything you get in the kit!

Alphabet stickers (you'll have a ton left over for other projects), coloured Sequins, Sequin twine, glitter, glitter banner punch outs, a variety of punch out shapes (love the feathers), 4 sheets of little heart and star stickers, Ribbon, Baker's Twine, a Gold Clip, distress sponge, the clip board and the box with a label!

Here are what mine look like.

You can see that I also used my "Decorative Label" punch for three of my months.

The next photo shows you March on the clipboard, in it's entirety.

 And a closer view...

I used the little stickers to mark the days of Family Birthdays.

I had such a blast stamping away and creating my month headers for this calendar, and know that you will too. I love the stamp set, because you can use them for any number of projects which include card making and scrapbooking! It's a very versatile stamp set!

This is what is included in the price of the class.

  • Stamp Cleaner

Thank you for stopping by to have a look at my Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project! Looking forward to having fun with you at this class!
