Purple Monochromatic - PPA247 Colour Challenge & Free Shipping & Open House Reminders

For a little inspiration to get going on today's card, I went to Pals Paper Arts Challenge Blog. Their current challenge is a colour challenge, in which I decided to participate.

You may have noticed that I have a fondness for making the long and skinny cards. I just like the idea of being able to send a card in a business letter envelope (#10), plus it gives a great canvas shape for a more unique layout. One thing that bothers me about this card is that I had meant to stamp the text and fern about 1/2" to 3/4" more to the left. It's just not balanced the way I wanted it, but I was not going to remake the card.

Here are some photos form different angles...

...and a couple of close ups (that turned out a little on the blurry side).

I stamped a bit on the inside of the card as well.

I did a lot of second stamping on this card, inside and out.

Hope you are inspired to participate in this challenge too, or to create your own monochromatic card. see below for everything used in the making of this card, and the FREE SHIPPING  and OPEN HOUSE information.

Happy stamping!

DON'T FORGET THAT THE FREE SHIPPING ENDS TOMORROW! Any size order, small or large, qualifies. Just remember that we still will have to pay taxes though.

VICTORIA CUSTOMERS REMINDER!
I'm having a small Stampin' Up Open House on Saturday, April 11th, from 9:30am til around 5:30pm at the Langford Legion Hall - 761 Station Ave. You can come to have a look at a few of the cards and projects I've made, place orders, book a workshop, or sign up for classes at my home. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Lovely work, Sabrina! I just recently made a long & skinny card and found it to be a lot of fun! Of course, having the envelope punch board makes it easy to have just the right envelope on hand! Thanks for joining us at PPA this week!
