About Me

At a very young age creativity played a major role in my life. I was always drawing (even on walls), cutting paper and making things. I even learned to embroider, crochet, and knit before I was eight. I learned to sew, and eventually sewed for my five children and our home I would win drawing contests at school.

As a Mon I sewed a lot, and I mean a lot. I loved to make flower arrangements and at times I was even asked to create all the flower needs for weddings. Some times wedding cakes too. I loved to decorate the birthday cakes for my family. I was involved in volunteer work and would often be in charge of decorating halls for a various kinds of functions, or booths at fundraisers.

At 41 I found myself going to university (for the first time) pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Graphic Design. Even though it was very hard work for me at that age, I loved it and learned so much!

I am a mother of five children and have eight grandchildren. I love my family very much, but seldom get to see them all as we are all very far apart from each other now. But I get a lot of photos that I can create with and be a part of their lives that way.

My eldest daughter introduced me to scrapbooking in 2009. I was immediately hooked, and quickly got into card making as well. When my skills improved and my creativity took hold of them I became interested in other forms of papercrafting, such as mini-albums, folios, and box type projects. And I love them all!

In January 2010 I became an instructor and started to participate in creative blog challenges online. That is so much fun! Eventually I started to be on Design Teams for some of these challenge blogs! And all this lead me, last year (2013), to start up a small online business selling instructions with video tutorials to those who were always asking me, "How do you do that?". But after a while I had to stop doing that.

I look forward to sharing many creative projects from cards, to boxes and packaging, to layouts in different styles.
