You've Got This - Touch of So Saffron

Have you ever miscalculated something making a card? For this one it was the banner, it's too short. But because I was in a hurry to get all these cards completed and posted before my family arrives, I didn't take the time to correct it.
Again, I used the Stampin' Write markers. This time it is So Saffron, and a blender pen.

I love the new DSP stack patterns.

You can tell that I didn't have even a scrap of So Saffron cardstock left and had to use another yellow. I have it on my order list now.

I used the background stamp of this set to stamp the edges of the inside.

Stampin' Up Website and Clearance Rack Changes!

Yesterday started out with the announcement of  Retiring Items.  Wowzers!  What an amazing list of wonderful products!  If you missed that post (including the Retiring List), check it out here.  
Yesterday didn’t go exactly as planned, though, and I hope you haven’t given up hope.  Throughout the day, the Stampin’ Up! site was either inaccessible or completely down.  When it was available, it was super-slow (kind of like the dial-up days).  Still, the determined were able to get through and pace orders – so some items are already disappearing from the Retiring List.
Here are some tips that will hopefully help you maneuver through:

• Monitor the Risk.  Accessories (dies, punches ribbons, etc) on the Retiring List will be discontinued as soon as the current stock runs out.  Some items are already disappearing from the list.  Stamp sets, though, will continue to be manufactured by Stampin’ Up! through the end of May.  If there’s something you really want from the list that’s at risk of going away soon, place your order NOW and wait out the slow connection.
• Today is Big, Too!  Yesterday’s Retiring List promotion really slowed things down as lots of people attempted to place orders.  Today, though, we are told the Clearance Rack will be restocked with new items – that means MORE people will be accessing the site.  While my fingers are crossed that the systems issues are fixed, but be forewarned that you might have to be super-patient again today.

Card in a Pizza Box & A Reminder

 Whenever my pain meds are working well, I take a few minutes to work on something. My inspiration for the project I'm showing you today comes from the paper cone wreaths that have been popular for the last couple of years.

I know, you're thinking that you just see a box. I was about to throw away some paper scraps when I noticed that some of them were square. Suddenly the thought of a mini paper cone wreath came to mind. So I created a 5 1/2" square card with a mini paper cone wreath from those scraps.

Because it is too thick for an envelope, I thought a mini pizza box would be fun to put the card into.

I hate for the white paper core to show when I create something, and you can see here how I forgot to take care of that. I blame the meds that make me a little loopy. Though I did do it on the gold foil cardstock.

So you can see how thick the card is with the mini paper cones. Half an inch thick as a matter of fact.

Right now I can't sit very long to type out the measurements of the mini pizza box for you, but if you are interested, leave a comment that you want them, and I will add it in later when I'm up to it.

Below are the products used in the making of this card and mini pizza box. Oh, I made a mistake entering the size of circle punch - it should be the 2" circle punch.
