Welcome back! This next card was cased from Pinterest and created by Jan Clothier. I made the circle larger and used Marina Mist instead of Lost Lagoon (need to order more), and didn't have ribbon so I used cardstock instead.
I wish I had lowered the Sandpipers just a bit more. Here is the side view showing only one layer popped up.

Good morning! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today we continue with the 11 "Wetlands" cards made last Friday. You've seen two lovely CAS cards, and today they will still be CAS, but a little more added in the way of technique with this one. We will be using our clear stamp blocks to stamp a background on watercolour paper and spritzing the block with water!
Before I forget, I should mention that I cased this from Pinterest, but couldn't find out who designed it.
The Early Espresso & Pool Party colours work very well together. This background technique is quick and easy, as well as a lot of fun!
Love these Sandpipers! I may try them out in the future with some other stamp sets too. For the inside I did some offset stamping. First in a second stamp in Pool Party, and then second stamp in Early Espresso.

Another simple and easy card to make that would be great for mass production. You know, for those Christmas card sets you want to make.... Sometimes the CAS cards are just as beautiful as those where a lot of time is spent fussy cutting and layering.
I don't know if you can see it, but I ave a very light Calypso Coral & Bermuda Bay colour blended around the circle spread out to the outer edges of that top layer. Doesn't white on white layering look sophisticated and elegant? I think you can see the light colour blending in this next photo.
And of course the fun part of a little decoration for the inside.
Amazing what you can do with just a simple stamp of grass! This card was cased from Paula Dobson of stampinantics.blogspot.ca. I changed the sentiment and grass stamp colour to Night of Navy.

OK, I'm still working on a couple of other larger projects, and of course it takes longer to complete these things than one thinks it will. I ran out of colour ink for my printer a couple of times, and editing photos takes awhile too. Compiling instructions doesn't happen with a blink of an eye either, no matter how much I wish it could. And life sometimes gets in the way too, lol! When my Wetlands stamp set finally arrived last Thursday, and with that being the stamp for the class in the first week in September, I stopped working on the projects, and spent an entire day from 6:30am till 12;00pm working on 11 cards! Now of course I can't use all of them for the class, and I can't take credit for their designs either. I did make tiny changes, but you can find them all on Pinterest. With my mind on the projects, it was taking too long to come up with ideas for originals. I just couldn't focus on the cards like I usually can. So I cased them for the class. Now all I need to do is to decide which of them to include for the class, or if I should have two different classes using the same stamp set. Happy to hear your opinions on the matter.
Let's see... which one to show you first. How about we start from the easiest and go to the more involved cards.
For this image I used the Mossy Meadow and blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Markers. This is a clean and simple (CAS) card. A great one for mass producing gift sets for Christmas gifts!

It's fun to do a little something on the inside. I used the same markers on the same stamp, for the inside of the card. Using the markers on stamps is such a fun technique!

How does one take a flower stamp, not colour it in, and make it look more masculine? I'm sure if I played around a bit more with the idea, I might come up with something more, but this one needed to be quick & easy for the class as well. So this is it.
A little different style for me using the Gorgeous Grunge spots; almost looks like I spilled Hot Chocolate on my card. And it's always fun to have an opportunity to stamp on DSP.
The photo above shows that the tag is popped up.
I left the inside without stamps because I wanted the flower to the the main stamp on this card without the Grunge splatter. But, flowers alone inside would make the card a little too feminine. So, I left it as is.
You've seen some previous cards using this stamp set where I made a flower wreath, but they were a little too detailed to make in a class.

July 5th, and July 6th, I shared some creations my daughter made while she was visiting. Since I've been busy working on some larger projects, I don't have anything of mine ready to post right now. SO, I'm sharing another of her creations. Love this CAS (Clean and Simple) card. It really makes that awfully cute giraffe stand out.
When I was living in Calgary, and not far from her, we'd get together often to create. I miss that now, so it was wonderful to do it again when she was here.

I now live in Lethbridge, Alberta. I love living in a smaller town! It only takes 20 minutes to go from end to the other! The prairies have a different beauty to them than the mountains and trees of Vancouver Island, but I still like living here.
I still haven't the opportunity to sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator again, but hope I can do that again some time in the future. I still love Stampin' Up! products!
I so look forward to sharing with you all the fun things that I create in the meantime when I am not making kits for Scrapbook Parade in Victoria, BC, or crocheting for family and blankets for the homeless.
