Sneak Peek - Into the Woods DSP Card 4 With "Lighthearted Leaves"

It's kind of funny how sometimes when you make a card you really like how it turned out, and then a couple days later you're wondering what you were thinking when you made it and told yourself you liked it! Well that's what has happened with this card for me. Today I'm thinking it's a little on the busy side. Oh Well, I'm showing it to you any way.

I do love the hand painted "Into the Woods" DSP, and I do love the stamp set "Lighthearted Leaves". I think I just didn't work it together very well.

I do like the offset part on the card, and isn't that sentiment lovely?

I added to the leaves a piece I fussy cut from one of the DSP patterns.

The only thing I popped up is the 2" punched circle sentiment piece.

For the inside, I just added a strip of the DSP at the bottom.

Sneak Peek - Into the Woods DSP Card 3

Whoops! I accidentally deleted the original post! Never done that before. So now I have to try and remember what I wrote before...

For this card I once again used the "Into the Woods"DSP  and the stamp set "Lighthearted Leaves" from the 2015 Holiday Catalogue that will be out on September 1st. The "Lighthearted Leaves" also coordinated with the "Vintage Leaves" Framelit Dies from the current annual catalogue!(which comes in a bundle and is on my wish list)

I really like the sentiments on this stamp set and look forward to using them a lot. Since I don't have the Framelits yet I had to cut the leaves out by hand.

Below you can see that the only thing I popped up is the sentiment.

And of course I had to do something for the inside of the card...

The "Lighthearted Leaves" is such a fun stamp set to use. I hope you are inspired to create with it too. Below you will find everything I used to create this card with, minus the DSP and stamp set.

Sneak Peek - Into the Woods DSP Card 2

I'm thinking more and more that I need to get a Stamp-a-ma-jig! You can see with the rainbow of "Grateful" that I need it. To top it off, two thirds of the way down I messed up the order of the colours! I hid it with my wood embellishments that will be available September 1st in the new Holiday Catalogue.

Using the "Into the Woods" DSP collection again for this card. It's such a cute Fall paper.

I split the Linen Thread to a single strand and created the loops behind the wood leaves & acorn that I coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers.

I didn't use and dimensionals this time, as the wood embellishments add enough thickness if I mail this card.

I punched a 2" circle and attached it to the corner inside and then cut off what was hanging over.

Cute card, don't you think?

Sneak Peek - Card Made With "Into the Woods" DSP

I've received my pre-order from the new Holiday Catalogue and will be giving you sneak peeks of new items available on September 1st.

The beautifully hand painted Autumn DSP is called "Into the Woods" and has wood embellishments, ribbon, and a coordinating stamp set (of which I still need to order). A lovely collection of DSP.

This first card I'm showing you uses this lovely paper. The stamp set is from last year's Holiday Catalogue (Merry Everything) and is still available.

Here is the hand painted DSP Collection "Into the Woods". (click on it if you wish to see a larger image of it)

After heat embossing the sentiment with white, I used Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze to sponge and blend the inks.

A side view, next, shows the layering of the card.

For the inside, I used the Tangelo Twist Stampin' Write marker for just the word 'grateful' and stamped along the bottom. I can hardly wait to get my Stamp-a-ma-jig so I can do a better job.

It's always nice to give everyone attending your Thanksgiving feast with a little something to let them know how grateful you are for them. This DSP is perfect to create little cards, gift bags, or treat boxes, etc., for such a special holiday.
