Thoughtful Branches Bundle - Limited Edition for Aug - #5
Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start.
Today I'm continuing with the the Thoughtful Branches Bundle and showing you a card that uses more of the coordinating die set (Beautiful Branches) with the stamp set. You have the option of purchasing this as a bundle (which I recommend) or as individual items.
This Hydrangea was first stamped using both the Blushing Bride & Calypso Coral inks.
I took the large 'F' Clear Stamping Block and with my Blushing Bride ink pad pressed the ink pad onto the center of the block. Then I added four or five random tiny little drops of Calypso Coral ink refiller. Using the mister filled with water, I then misted the inks on the clear block. Taking the stamp I inked it from the clear block and gently stamped it onto my cardstock. When dried I then die cut it and used the wonder Die Brush to remove it from the intricate die. I repeated this step by stamping onto my card to create a background peek-a-boo.
I used this technique with the three background leaves as well. Love the die cut stem & leaves. You can of course cut off the die cut leaves and use them as embellishment as I did for the first Christmas card I created with this bundle and my bunch of Thank You cards.
In this side view, below, you can better see that I stamped another Hydrangea underneath the die cut one.
A tip to help you with popping up the die cut stem & leaves is to cut narrow strips of Dimensionals for the stem, and to roll mini glue dots with your paper piercer for the intricate leaves. You will require two rolled glue dots stacked to achieve the same height as the Dimensionals.
On the inside, I stamped just a portion of the Hydrangea and leaves.
Hope that you are inspired to get this bundle in August, so that you too can have a lot of fun playing with all the many creative possibilities with this set.
A reminder that there are only four more days left to take advantage of getting your Bonus Coupons to spend in August. The more coupons you have, the less this bundle will cost you! (see details at the end of this post)
Happy stamping!

Another "Grateful Bunch" You Are Totaly Awesome Card
I have some classes that I will be posting soon, but needed to create a few more cards. You'll have seen the "Grateful Bunch" sneak peeks and some of them will be in a class, but his is something new made with that bundle.
There have been some
pretty fantastic Paper Pumpkin kits over this year. Don't miss out on
the fun and your chance to save on a 3-month Paper Pumpkin subscription
and get a FREE Sale-A-Bration item until March 31st. Contact me today!
(sabradcreations@gmail.com)
As you can see in the close up below, I used Crumb Cake to stamp the blossoms with and then coloured them in with the Stampin' Write Lost Lagoon Marker.
I like the subtle lines, rather than the dark colouring book look of dark lines. In the photo below, the side views shows the layering of the card.
Often, when I colour, I stamp an extra item/set in case I mess up with the colouring. All went well, so I had an extra set of coloured blooms and decided to use them on the inside of the card. Even though I glued them in, they still look better than stamping directly onto the inside because they are an additional layer.
Next is a list of everything that I used to make this card with.
So, by the end of the week I should have the classes posted, both here on my blog and on my Stampin' Up! site under events.
Thank you for checking in, and Happy Stamping!
Sale-A-Bration! Remember that for every $60 you spend on
products from the brand-new occasions catalogue (or any other current
Stampin’ Up! publication), you’ll get a FREE exclusive Sale-A-Bration
product.

Flurry of Wishes Card Class - #4, 5 & 6
Today you can see the last three of six cards for the "Flurry of Wishes" card class.
Coloured snowflakes in a line, with the silver metallic cord, is quite effective in it's simplicity on this card...
...and the three Rhinestones add a pop around the sentiment. I love this colour combo and will try it again.
You all know how much I love to play with ink blending, so I had to do it again. This time I used Silver Embossing Powder for the Ink Resist part of this card. Combined with the Perfect Plum & Night of Navy, the silver just glimmers in the foreground.
I added three star sequins, and used the Stampin' Write Night of Navy Marker to draw a frame around the ink resist.
This last card is in Crumb Cake and Pool Party. It looks much better in real life. I love the whimsical play of the silver metallic thread around the layered snowflake medallion.
So these are now the six cards for the "Flurry of Wishes" card class for October 26th.
Hope you will join us, or are inspired to create your own "Flurry of Wishes" cards.
Happy Stamping and creating!

SLEIGH RIDE & JINGLE ALL THE WAY CARD CLASS
Today is the last day to register and pay for the second class being held at the Langford Legion on October 10th is the Sleigh Ride & Jingle All the Way card class. There are five cards for this class.
One of the things I love to do for cardmaking is ink blending! This beautiful night sky works so well with the fun Sleigh Ride Edgelits.
I love how the sentiments from "Jingle All the Way" are slightly curved to sync with the curves of the die cuts.
I really love the dark rich colours of the card above, but I also love light, airy and delicate colours as with this next card.
There are a lot of layers on this card to create this scene, and it's so fun to create the layers!
This next card is using the negative space to create the image.
The positive part can be used for another card! Waste not, want not. (This doesn't work with the sleigh edgelit though)
This next card is also a fun idea; sponge colouring the die cut images above the ground level!
In addition I did use a Stampin' Write Marker on the trees though. The sentiment on this card does not come from Jingle All the Way however, but from the Hostess stamp set "Antique Tags" which coordinates with the Washi Punch.
For this last card in the class, we use the negative die cuts as a stencil and sponge ink the images.
I can imagine using this idea in many different colours, can you?
Thank you for checking today's posting of these cards, and I hope you are inspired to create with this wonderful Bundle.
Happy Stamping and creating!

Festival of Trees - Cherry Cobbler
The photo doesn't do this card justice. A fairly simple card, but the deep red, gold, and Crumb Cake go very well together. I also like the contrast of the wood grain texture against the flourish/flowery tree stamp.
This is the fourth of the five cards for the first Christmas Card Club Class in July. I must say I rather enjoy starting to make Christmas cards without the feeling of rushing to get the cards ready and off of my Christmas list.
Lightly inking the Crumb Cake circle with Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler looks good behind the trees.
And here is the inside...
With Christmas only six months away (we all know how fast time flies), it's time to start thinking about what your paper crafting plans will be and get a start on your cards to avoid that rushed feeling. What inspiration are you getting for your ideas?
There are some great Christmas product available now starting on page 67 in your catalogue!
