Botanical Builder Card 4

This card I'm showing you today, is another of the series for a class, that uses Vellum; plain Vellum and the border die.

If you look closely at the two larger flowers, you can see the touch of So Saffron I added to them. The yellow peeks through the Smoky Slate die cut stamen. The gray leaf stamped with white ink and the white leaves with Smoky Slate ink.

For the birthday sentiment, I backed it with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. To shape the sentiment I used the Word Window Punch for the sentiment, and cut a strip of glimmer paper just a little larger and rounded the corners with a small corner punch.

I did pull out the Botanical Blooms stamp set to stamp inside. To make the colours lighter, I off stamped first.

So that is the last card for this class which will be posted soon.  In the mean time I'm trying to complete another project and also get together instructions for the much requested 3 x 3 square cards box.

Botanical Builder Card 3

I'll be sad when Blackberry Bliss is gone at the end of May. But in the meantime we can still create some lovely things with it in classes and such. 

Today's Botanical Builder card also uses the Botanical Blooms stamp set to stamp the leaves.

And you will see that I used a sponge to colour the flower centers a bit, too. Even the Hello Honey flower is coloured in the center with the same ink colour and thereby darkening the center of the flower (which you can see better in real life).

By using the border die on the sides we can create a very interesting and unique look to the card. Let's look at it from a slight angle to better see this effect.

For this card, this is it. There will be one more card to show you that will be part of the class, but I love this set so you will probably see more things made using it anyway.

Botanical Blooms Boxed Note Card Set

On Friday I shared with you a Boxed Gift Card set where I used the wonderful Botanical Blooms stamp set. Today I am showing you note cards using this same stamp set. Many of you know that normally I love to have layers on my cards, but every so often I am drawn to creating all on one layer, the card front itself!

I'm showing you the whole set, but there are some I had to force myself to include in the set, because I liked others more. I'm sure when you mass produce, that happens to you too. It was a matter of colour choices for me.

Lets begin with viewing the card box. I created this using my Stampin' Up Simply Scored score board, and stamped all over the flap of the box in a similar way to the cards within. Each card is using a different set of colours.

Botanical Blooms 3 x 3 Gift Card Set - For Sale

A good way to use up scraps is to make 3 x 3 cards (as with the boxed set on either end in the photo below). Or, use one sheet of 12 x 12 DSP for the box and 11 cards (as with the boxed set in the center).

Today I'm going to show you the center Gift Card Set. For this set I used the DSP as background and focused on the Botanical Blooms stamp set using different colours for each card and the box.

The box is created out of a single 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock sheet using the scoreboard and corner rounder making a flip top box or attached lid box as you see in the next photo.

I did not want to take a photo of each card and grouped them all together. Now I see that should have taken at least a photo of one of the cards for you to see better the details. My original thought was to create a variety of sentiments to place on them, but decided to leave them entirely blank , inside and out.

Next is a close up of a section of the cards. I hope you can see a little more of the stamping detail. I stamped the darkest foreground flower first, then with a mask created with the Botanical Builder die, I stamped the off stamped bloom and leaves. After taking the flower mask off, I randomly stamped the tiny floral bunch that is part of the stamp set. Love that little bunch of flowers!

With the exception of all the different ink pad colours used, I've included what I used to make these cards with, below. I will show you the other two 3 x 3 Boxed Gift Card Sets tomorrow.
