Dove of Peace Stamp of the Month Card Class

I am falling behind in scheduling my October classes! It seems when you take a day or two off you end up with a week's worth of work to catch up!

Today I'm showing you the six cards for October's Stamp of the Month Card Class.

I will showcase them individually later. The deadline to register is only 10 days away! So be sure to reserve your spot soon!

Monday, October 5th
1:00pm - 4:30pm

6:00pm - 9:30pm
  With Stamp Set - $48.00 (includes package of pearls too)

  We will be creating 6 cards this time. All the heat embossing will be done for you ahead of time. We will learn how to stamp just one line of text from a multi-lined sentiment, do a little colouring, stamping a background, and a little ink resist technique. So lots of fun!

If you have the following ink stamp pads, bring them to class: Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, and Pool Party. Please bring your "To Go Kit" and either pencil crayons, or markers in colours as close to Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive as you can.
Registration and payment deadline is Thursday, September 24th to get the stamp sets and supplies in time for class.

All Ye Faithful #4

Another Monochromatic card! Ever thought of using Delight Dijon for a Christmas card? I was thinking 'stars' when I decided on this non-traditional Christmas colour.       

Since I was using the Shepherd for this card, I thought perhaps I could use the new "Woodland" textured impressions folder for the the background on this card.

I took the 'stars' stamp from the "Perpetual Calendar" stamp set to create the starry background for the shepherd.

Above you see the layering for this card. And, below you see the inside.

All Ye Faithful #3

For this card I wanted to play with non-traditional colours and a more contemporary kind of Christmas Card. A simple paper inlay struck me as something fun to do, so I used Christmas Stars! This is a 5 x 5 square card.

I masked the sentiment so that I could change it from a one liner to a two liner so that it would fit on the Note Tag.

This next photo is quite blurry. Sorry about that, but at least you get the idea of what I did for the inside of the card.

You can see below, after my signature, what I used to create this card.

I would also like to share with you today, another Stampin' Up video. This is a fun Kit that can be created for a triple duty display for Thanksgiving, Halloween & Christmas!

All Ye Faithful #2

Before I begin, I must apologize for the quality of my photos. Someone played with the settings on my camera, and I'm still trying to figure out what they were.

This is pretty much a monochromatic card in Mossy Meadow, my favorite of the darker greens.

I partially folder embossed the top portion of the card. A little hard to see, but there are two scored lines above and two below the sentiment strip. Below you can see that only popped up part are the three ovals.

For the inside of the card, I only stamped the phrase without any other stamping or embellishment.

When you stop by tomorrow, You will see how I used Delightful Dijon for a Christmas Card colour!

All Ye Faithful #1

This card is cased from the Holiday Catalogue on page 21. It's not exactly the same, but the simple beauty of this card is still there. We are using a religious stamp for this Christmas Club Card class since some of us love to have a few to send out.

In the close up below you can better see the embellishment created with Gold Cording Trim, Snowflake Elements, and a punched gold foil star.

To check out the layering of this card you can see it in this next photo. It may not be a good card to mail in a regular envelope, with the thickness of the embellishment, but you could send it in a bubble envelope.

I hope you like the inside of the card, too. Not that it is different from many others, but it turned out to be a good idea even using stamps of people.
