I created this embossed look by die cutting all the numbers, some twice, in the same colour as the card base, and glued them onto it. You have to be careful with your glue, and as you can see, my number three got a bit on it. I love how it looks though! Will have to try this again in other colours...
My third Grand-daughter has a very eclectic taste and loves bright colours. I think she may be getting tired of pink and purple, so I chose to use "Tempting Turquoise" with a little punch of "Melon Mambo". Of course what 9 year girl can resist sparkle, so I added that too.
Next you see a close up of the numbers...
...and the bottom of the card where everything is happening.
I do wish I had stamped 'birthday' onto an upside down banner, but she won't know.
Here is the side view of the card...
And the inside of the card...
Whenever I make Claire's and Averi's cards I am amazed that my two daughters had these girls only two months apart! They live far from each other, but when they do get together, these two cousins are the best of friends and nearly inseparable.
Well, that's it for this card. A little different style for me, but always try going out of your comfort zone every so often, and see what you come up with.
Happy creating!
